
Marquette Hosts Seton Hall Saturday Evening

MILWAUKEE--Fresh off a win in its BIG EAST opener, the Marquette women's basketball team will look to continue the winning trend as the Golden Eagles welcome Seton Hall to the Al McGuire Center on Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The game will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network via FOX Sports GO with Patrick Reed and Matt Shumacker calling the action.
Marquette (7-5, 1-0) opened BIG EAST play with a victory for the second consecutive season taking a 74-72 overtime win over St. John's on Thursday. Junior Allazia Blockton led four in double digits with 19 points, while freshman Lauren Van Kleunen tallied her first career double-double with 12 points and a career-best 11 rebounds. The Golden Eagles owned the edge on the glass 49-30 in the win.
Seton Hall dropped its BIG EAST opener, 89-66 at DePaul on Thursday behind 23 points from Donnaizha Fountain. Fountain leads the Pirates this season averaging 15.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
The Golden Eagles own the all-time season series with the Pirates, 11-7, including a season sweep in the 2016-17 campaign. MU last defeated Seton Hall, 103-60 on Feb. 3, 2017.
Marquette will remain at home and host league travel partner DePaul on Thursday, Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. CT on FS Wisconsin and the BIG EAST Digital Network.
