The Marquette University men's tennis team (4-2) dropped a 4-0 decision to Utah State (6-3) Saturday afternoon in non-conference action from Tucson, Ariz.
The setback snapped a four-match winning streak for the Golden Eagles.
The Aggies opened the match by claiming the doubles point and were able to earn a trio of singles decisions before MU could get on the board. Sophomore Greg Anderson and freshman Luke Smrek were the lone victors for the team, earning a 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
The Golden Eagles return to action Sunday morning at 11 a.m. CT when they face Arizona.
