
Marquette Falls 6-1 At Butler

The Marquette University men's tennis team (13-6) dropped a 6-1 decision at Butler (14-4) Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Bulldogs opened the match by claiming the doubles point and were able to hold off the Golden Eagles in several close matches in singles action. Of the six matchups, four were decided in the third set. Unfortunately for MU, Butler was able to claim each of those decisions.
Freshman Brett Meyers was the lone player to earn a win, downing his opponent 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6.
Marquette returns home to face DePaul at 6 p.m. on Friday, April 21 at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium. It will be the team's first home match since March 26.
