Luka Prpa Named to College Soccer News Team of the Week

Prpa earns national distinction for the second-straight week after another four-point performance

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Luka Prpa was named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week on Monday following Saturday's heroics vs. Xavier. It's the third such honor of his career.

Prpa registered two second-half goals to erase an early 1-0 deficit for the Golden Eagles on Saturday. He notched scores in the 68th and 77th minutes to lead Marquette to a thrilling 2-1 home victory over Xavier.

Earlier today, Prpa was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the second-consecutive week. He now collects team of the week distinction from College Soccer News for the third time in his career. The previous two times occurred during Prpa's freshman season back in 2016 when he accumulated 26 points on 10 goals and six assists.

His most recent CSN Team of the Week honor before today came on Oct. 25, 2016 and also followed a two-goal effort, including the match-winner, in a victory over Xavier.

Prpa looks to add on to consecutive four-point efforts and a pair of Marquette victories as the team travels to No. 8 ranked Creighton on Wednesday.
