
Hope Werch Earns a Spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

This is the first weekly award of the season for the sophomore
NEW YORK-- Hope Werch was selected to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll the league office announced on Tuesday, earning her first weekly award of the season.
The sophomore averaged 2.29 kills, 3.57 digs and connected for a .389 hitting percentage in two matches last week. The Golden Eagles (19-4, 9-1) swept DePaul, 3-0 on Friday as Werch helped lead MU with 10 kills and took to the road earning a 3-1 victory over Northern Iowa on Sunday. The Neenah, Wisconsin native collected a career-best 21 digs.Â
Marquette has won nine consecutive matches and will put the win-streak to the test when the Golden Eagles host No. 10 Creighton on Friday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. CT. The Bluejays are currently a perfect 10-0 in BIG EAST play.Â
