MU Competing In Pair Of Weekend Events

Entire roster spreading out across state of Indiana
The Marquette University men's tennis will travel to Indiana for the first time this fall season with the Purdue Invitational and Notre Dame Bobby Bayliss Invitational, Friday Oct. 5 – Sunday Oct. 7.
In addition to the Boilermakers, the Purdue event will feature Army, Olivet Nazarene, Butler, IUPUI, Cardinal Stritch, DePaul, UWGB, Niagara, Marquette, Ball State, Cleveland State, Purdue Northwest, Chicago State, Illinois State, Toledo and Wright State.

The Notre Dame Bobby Bayliss Invitational will feature MU, Illinois, Iowa, Western Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Louisville. The three-day event

The Golden Eagles will send Al Verdu, Luke Smrek, Luis Heredia, Greg Anderson and Julian Robinson to Notre Dame while the rest of the squad will compete simultaneously at Purdue.
Last weekend, senior Alvaro Verdu competed in the Oracle ITA Masters in Malibu, Calif. Junior Brett Meyers, sophomore Luis Heredia Gomez and freshman Fran San Andres participated in singles and doubles action in the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.

Following the Indiana weekend, The Golden Eagles will look to take part in the ITA Midwest Regional Championships, Wednesday Oct. 17 – Monday Oct. 22.
