
Barber Lands on BIG EAST Honor Roll

The junior led Marquette and the BIG EAST with 5.86 kills per set
NEW YORK-- Marquette University junior Allie Barber was selected to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the fourth time this season, the league office announced on Tuesday.Â
The junior led Marquette in a 1-1 weekend at home, beginning with a 22-kill showing with a .362 hitting average on Friday against then-No. 10 Creighton. Barber had a stellar performance on Saturday in a 3-0 sweep of Providence where she tallied 19 kills with just one error and hit at a blistering .548 clip. She finished the two matches with a BIG EAST-best .586 kills per set and a .436 hitting percentage, combined.
The 19th-ranked Golden Eagles will open a four-match road trip beginning at Villanova on Friday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. CT.
