Golden Eagles Travel to Northwestern for Weekend Competition

Marquette sends a full squad in the third weekend of fall play
Evanston, Ill. – The Marquette University women's tennis team will continue fall play at Northwestern for the Wildcat Invitational, Friday, Oct. 5 – Sunday, Oct. 7.
In addition to the Wildcats, the event will feature 13 teams including, DePaul, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Michigan State, UIC, Chicago State, Columbia, Princeton, Utah, Lewis, Illinois and Kentucky.
The Golden Eagles will send the whole squad to compete this weekend.
Marquette has made a handful of good appearances thus far in the fall campaign. Last weekend, Elisabeth Desmarais defeated Western Michigan, 6-4, 6-1 at the Hoosiers Classic. In doubles action at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, Natalija Popovic and Fleur Eggink took down the No. 3 seed from Syracuse.
Action at Northwestern will begin at 9:30 a.m. CT on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and will continue into the evening all three days. Up-to-date results will be available on NUSports.com throughout the weekend.
