
Barber and Konovodoff Earn BIG EAST Awards

Allie Barber is the league's offensive Player of the Week
NEW YORK-- Marquette University volleyball junior Allie Barber was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season, while sophomore Martha Konovodoff was selected to the honor roll, also for the fourth time.
Barber led Marquette with 6.00 kills per set and .410 in a 2-0 week for Marquette. In a three-set sweep at Butler, the Cedarburg, Wisconsin native recorded 20 kills and followed with a match-high 16 kills and just four errors in a 3-0 win at Xavier.Â
Konovodoff averaged 5.17 digs per set with 13 and 18 digs at Butler and Xavier, respectively.
The 17th-ranked Golden Eagles will close out the regular season hosting Seton Hall on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. followed by St. John's on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. CT.
