Marquette Concludes Play in Louisville

The Golden Eagles took down host Louisville 2-1 in doubles action
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Marquette University women's tennis team concluded a weekend of action at the Louisville Tennis Classic at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Golden Eagles were able to collect a doubles win on Friday against Miami (Ohio), 2-1, with wins from the tandems of Natalija Popvoic-Lesley Foe and Alexandrina Chinikova-Isabella Franks.
Marquette tied the Redhawks 3-3 the following day in singles action as Milica Novakovic, Fleur Eggink and Franks registered wins. In Saturday's doubles competition, Marquette took down host Louisville 2-1 after Lesley Foe-Chinikova and Eggink-Popovic teamed up for a pair of wins.
The squad fell 4-1 against West Virginia during Sunday's singles competition, where Elisabeth Desmarais registered the lone win for the Golden Eagles.
Marquette will finish out its fall slate Nov. 9-11 at San Diego State.
