Barber Named to Google Cloud Academic All-America First Team

The junior holds a 3.99 GPA in biomedical sciences
 AUSTIN, Texas--Marquette University junior outside hitter Allie Barber was named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America Volleyball First Team the College Sports Information Directors of America have announced.
Barber, a unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team selection holds a 3.99 grade point average in biomedical sciences and is a two-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team honoree. The junior finished the season with 4.67 kills per set and tallied a .376 hitting percentage, while guiding Marquette to the 2018 NCAA Championship Round of 16 for the first time in program history.
The Cedarburg, Wisconsin native is the first Marquette volleyball player to earn Academic All-America honors since Elizabeth Koberstein earned second team accolades in 2013.
