The senior earns her first career preseason All-American honor

BALTIMORE – Inside Lacrosse has released the 2019 Preseason Media All-Americans with senior midfielder Grace Gabriel earning honorable mention recognition, it was announced this week.

Gabriel earned IWLCA Second Team All-American status in 2018 following a sensational junior campaign in which she was named the BIG EAST Co-Midfielder of the Year after setting single-season program records for goals (56), points (67), draw controls (107), caused turnovers (31).

The Lancaster, New York, native holds the program's career records for both goals (116) and draw controls (213). She is one of two BIG EAST players recognized among the 2019 Inside Lacrosse Preseason Media All-Americans, joining fellow midfielder Natalia Lynch from Georgetown.

In 51 days, the Golden Eagles will kick off the 2019 season with a pair of home games inside the Valley Fields dome against nationally-ranked Notre Dame (Feb. 8) and Louisville (Feb. 10).
