Blockton Lands on BIG EAST Honor Roll

The senior guard picks up her second honor this season
NEW YORK – Marquette University women's basketball senior guard Allazia Blockton earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday.
Blockton was the BIG EAST's top scorer last week, averaging 23.0 points off .567 shooting, including a 70-percent mark from deep, to go along with 4.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
No. 18/17 Marquette improved to 6-1 with wins over Milwaukee and RV/RV Michigan, where Blockton tallied a season-high 28 points against the Panthers before going for 18 against the Wolverines.
This is the second league honor of the season for the Milwaukee native as sh also earned BIG EAST Player of the Week in the opening week of the season.

Marquette tips off against 6/6 Mississippi State on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 7:00 p.m. CT at Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville.
