The Marquette University men's tennis team (10-4) continued its road swing Friday afternoon with a 4-0 win at Georgetown.
The Golden Eagles are now 3-2 on their season-long six match road trip and conclude the stretch Saturday, March 24 at 7 p.m. CT at St. John's.
MU opened the match by narrowly claiming the doubles point. The two squads split 6-4 decisions at the No. 1 and 3 positions and freshman Luis Heredia Gomez and junior Greg Anderson posted the clinching 6-4 win at No. 2.
The doubles-winning tandem also accounted for a pair of straight-set wins and a quick 3-0 advantage for Marquette. Junior Alvaro Verdu clinched the team victory with a 6-7, 6-2, 7-6 win at No. 1.
