MILWAUKEE—The regular season for Marquette University men's tennis team will see its final regular see dual match on Saturday, April 21 against DePaul at Lakeshore Sport & Fitness in Chicago.
The first serve is scheduled to be tossed at 3:15 Central time. Marquette (15-9) downed Butler this past weekend with a clean sweep of the Bulldogs to put it at a four-match winning streak and a perfect 11-0 home record for the season. The squad went on a five-match win streak in February within an 11-day span.
DePaul (14-9) will be Marquette's sixth BIG EAST opponent of the season. The last time the two squared up was in the semifinals of the 2017 BIG EAST Tournament. The Golden Eagles edged out DePaul in 4-3 battle to advance them to the championship match against Butler.
The two teams have seen some familiar non-conference opponent, along with similar results. Both teams were dropped by Wisconsin, but grabbed wins over UW-Green Bay, Valparaiso and UIC.
This weekend's match will conclude the regular season for Marquette. The following weekend the team will travel to Cayce, S.C. for the BIG EAST Tournament.
