
Marquette Hosts Creighton, Xavier This Weekend

The Marquette University men's tennis team will face Creighton at home on Friday, April 6 at 2:30 p.m. CT before finishing the week with a matchup against Xavier on Sunday, April 8, with first serve slated for 10 a.m. CT.
Last week the Golden Eagles (11-5) defeated Detroit 7-0 to open their homestand. Junior Alvaro Verdu picked up a win at No. 1 singles and also clinched the point in doubles with his partner Brett Meyers (6-4). Marquette owns an 8-0 home record.
The Bluejays (7-8) defeated Air Force, 4-3, this past Tuesday. The win advanced their winning streak to five matches.
Xavier (5-12) is coming off a three-match winning streak with a most recent win on the road against DePaul last Friday. Currently the Musketeers are 1-3 on the road.
Next week the squad will continue BIG EAST play against Butler at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium on Friday, April 13 at 6 p.m. CT.
