Women's Tennis Adds Chinikova

The Marquette women's tennis team adds to its roster with the addition of Alexandrina Chinikova, a transfer from Tulsa
MILWAUKEE-- The Marquette women's tennis team and head coach Jody Bronson announce the addition of Alexandrina Chinikova to the squad beginning in the Fall of 2018. Chinikova joins the Golden Eagles as a transfer from Tulsa and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
As a freshman at Tulsa Chinikova finished with an 8-8 singles record playing at the No. 6 position seeing two matches in doubles. She hails from Saint-Cannat, France and owned a French ranking of 4/6, coming as one of the 10 best tennis players born in 1999 for a six-year span from 2011-2017.
Chinikova has turned in several high finishes, including 1/2 in the final of the Agde Open (2017), also advancing to the final of the La Provence Open Marseille in 2016. She has reached the TC Aubagne Final in 2016 Final TC Aubagne Open and 1/4 final Singles ITF Junior Swiss Tennis Junior Trophy (2015). Chinikova was 1/8 final Singles ITF Junior Nike Junior International Nottingham in 2015 and 1/2 doubles ITF Junior Neocom Open Macedonia in 2014.
Chinikova joins fellow newcomer Elisabeth Desmarais as the new faces to the Golden Eagles' squad in the 2018-19 campaign.
