Women's Track and Field Announces 2018-19 Incoming Class
8/2/2018 9:42:00 AM | Cross Country, Track & Field
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women's track and field team, under the direction of 12-year head coach Bert Rogers, has announced 12 new additions ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.
"We have a well-rounded class coming in," Rogers said. "After we had a very stellar senior class graduate, this group coming in will help us continue the success we've established over the last couple years."
This year's class of recruits is a local collection of talent with over half (seven) hailing from Wisconsin. The others represent the bordering states of Illinois, Michigan and Minnesota. Each event group is represented and, like the men's team, features six distance athletes who will compete for head coach Mike Nelson and the Marquette cross country squad this fall.
All newcomers are able to compete immediately and have four years of eligibility remaining for a squad that combined for 21 All-BIG EAST honorees and totaled seven individual champions during indoor and outdoor competitions.
