NEW YORK – The Marquette University women's soccer team was picked to finish third and redshirt senior forward Carrie Madden was unanimously named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team, the annual survey of the league's head coaches revealed on Thursday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles return seven starters from last season's squad that fell to league champion Georgetown in the conference tournament semifinals after going 5-4 in regular season action. In addition to Madden, who led the team with 19 points and seven goals, MU returns All-BIG EAST Freshman team selection Kylie Sprecher, along with midfielder Ryley Bugay and third-year starting goalkeeper Maddy Henry.
