Marquette Continues Play at the Hoosier Classic

The Golden Eagles close the second fall tournament on Sunday
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.-- The Marquette women's tennis team continued play at the Hoosiers Classic on Saturday with both doubles and singles matches on the campus of Indiana University.Â
In singles, Elisabeth Desmarais defeated Western Michigan, 6-4, 6-1 and joined with an IU player in doubles round three for an 8-3 victory over Cincinnati.
In round four of doubles, Lesley Foe and Alexandrina Chinikova narrowly fell, 8-6, to the host Hoosiers squad.Â
Marquette will conclude the tournament on Sunday in Bloomington.
