Jenna Rosenthal Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

The redshirt senior was named MVP of the Marcia E. Hamilton Classic
NEW YORK-- Redshirt senior Jenna Rosenthal has been selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced on Tuesday, after helping lead Marquette to a perfect 3-0 weekend record where the Golden Eagles did not lose a single set.
The Fond du Lac native averaged 1.44 blocks per set and totaled 2.78 kills each frame, Rosenthal had just four errors over the weekend, hitting for a stellar .488 clip en route to being named MVP of the Marcia E. Hamilton Classic in St. Louis.Â
The Golden Eagles (5-1) enter the AVCAÂ Coaches Poll at No. 25 this week and are ranked for the first time since 2013.
MU plays in its homeopener this weekend with a strong field of opponents beginning with No. 10 USC on Friday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. CT, followed by No. 3 BYU on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m. CT and Syracuse on Sunday, Sept. 9 at Noon at the Al McGuire Center.
