Joey Hauser Earns Second BIG EAST Freshman Honor

Forward two-time winner of weekly accolade
Marquette University men's basketball forward Joey Hauser has been named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning.
The honor is the second of the season for Hauser, who also claimed the accolade on Dec. 10.
Hauser averaged 16.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in two BIG EAST contests. The freshman helped the Golden Eagles beat Xavier 70-52 with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor and five rebounds. For the week, he shot 63.2 percent from the field and 4-of-5 from beyond the arc. For the season, the 6-9 forward is averaging 10.5 points and 6.1 rebounds.       Â
