
Hope Werch Selected to BIG EAST Honor Roll

The junior averaged 2.67 kills and a .429 hitting percentage last week
NEW YORK-- Marquette University junior Hope Werch was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Werch helped the Golden Eagles (23-3, 13-1) to a 2-0 record last week with two sweeps over DePaul. She recorded nine kills with a .438 hitting percentage and six service aces on Friday, followed by seven kills with a .417 clip at DePaul. For the week she averaged 2.67 kills per set with .429 hitting.

Marquette moved up one spot to No. 9 in this week's AVCA Coaches' Poll and sit in a tie at the top of the BIG EAST standings with four matches remaining. The Golden Eagles host Georgetown on Friday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. CT.
