The junior outside hitter posted two more double-doubles this weekend
NEW YORK—Marquette University volleyball junior Hope Werch was selected to the league's weekly honor roll, the BIG EAST announced on Monday.

Werch led the Golden Eagles (26-4, 16-2) with 3.39 kills per set and 3.00 digs per set in games against Creighton and Providence this past weekend. Werch tallied 12 kills with two services aces and 10 digs in Friday night's loss to No. 12 Creighton.

She added 11 kills and hit .320 in a three-set win over Providence on Sunday. The Neenah, Wisconsin native also recorded her fourth consecutive double-double, adding 11 digs to go along with two assists on the afternoon.

This is the sixth time this season Werch has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll.

No. 9 Marquette begins postseason play this weekend at the Al McGuire Center in the BIG EAST tournament semifinals. The No. 2-seeded Golden Eagles will take on the third-seeded Villanova Wildcats on Friday, Nov. 29 at 2:30 p.m. Central time. If MU wins it will play the winner of No. 1 Creighton and No. 4 St. John's on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CT.
