Meyers picks up singles victory
The Marquette University men's tennis team (3-4) wrapped up its four-match road swing with a 5-2 loss at Wisconsin (5-1) Thursday evening in non-conference action at the Nielsen Tennis Center.
The Golden Eagles, who return home to face IUPUI Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. CT, have seen each of their four losses come against Big Ten opponents (Iowa, Purdue, No. 25 Minnesota).
UW opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions. The Badgers were able to collect three singles wins to claim the team victory, with MU's Brett Meyers getting his squad on the board with a 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 decision at No. 4 over Wisconsin's Jared Pratt.
Senior Greg Anderson also picked up a singles victory, earning a 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 win at No. 5 singles.
