Both squads open the regular season this weekend at Valley Fields
MILWAUKEE – The promotional schedules for the Marquette University men's and women's lacrosse teams have been released for the 2019 season.
Individual and group tickets can be purchased online or by calling the Marquette Ticket Office at 414-288-GOMU (4668). Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as ticket sales at the door are limited, particularly for games played in the Valley Fields dome (500). The capacity at the west natural grass field is 2,000 and field conditions this winter and spring will determine which games will be played at the venue.
Between the men and the women, 13 regular season contests will take place at Valley Fields.
PROMOTIONS:
The women's team begins its first homestand on Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. CT, the day before National Marquette Day against Notre Dame. The first 500 fans will receive a schedule poster in the season's first promotional giveaway. The women's team continues home action on Sunday, Feb. 10 against Louisville with the first 200 in attendance receiving blue Marquette shirts.
The remainder of the women's season is highlighted by a neck pillow giveaway to the first 50 fans at the Villanova game on March 30. On April 6, the women will give away white Marquette shirts to the first 200 individuals at the Valley in support of the Golden Eagles against Butler.
In the women's final contest of the season (April 27), 200 lucky fans will walk away with Marquette spirit gloves. Spectators will be encouraged to wear purple and can purchase raffle tickets all season long for a chance to win various gift baskets that have been donated to help the team's fundraising efforts toward Pancreatic Cancer awareness and research.
The men's squad begins its home slate on National Marquette Day, Feb. 9, against Bellarmine. The men's team will also host a Camper Reunion on Feb. 23, inviting all kids who attended Marquette summer camps to enjoy a free ticket to the game against Detroit Mercy.
