Women's Tennis Falls, 6-2 at UC Santa Barbara

Novakovic scores the lone point for the Golden Eagles
SANTA BARBARA, Calif.-- The Marquette women's tennis team continued its spring break trip on the west coast Wednesday taking on UC Santa Barbara in Santa Barbara, falling 6-1 to the Gauchos.
Milica Novokovic scored the point for the Golden Eagles (8-6) winning at No. 3 singles in an extremely hard fought, 6-4, 2-6, 11-9 battle. Alexandrina Chinikova played a tough match at the No. 4 court, but fell, 7-6, 4-6, 5-10.
In doubles action, UCSB secured a swift win to get on board first setting the tone for the match.
Marquette will play one final game in California taking on San Jose State on Saturday, March 16 at 2 p.m. CT at the Spartan Tennis Complex
