BIG EAST Tournament next April 19-21
The Marquette University men's tennis team (13-8) wrapped up the regular season portion of its schedule Sunday evening with a 4-0 victory over Xavier on the road.
The Golden Eagles will learn their seed for the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament on Monday, which takes place in Cayce, S.C., on April 19-21.
MU claimed the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and 3 positions. Senior Alvaro Verdu (No. 1), sophomore Luis Heredia Gomez (No. 3) and junior Brandon Shanklin (No. 6) all posted straight-set wins to earn the team victory.
