Who We Are
SHAPE stands for Student Health Allies and Peer Educators. Sometimes playing sports at a high level makes us afraid to ask for help. We are here to listen and connect student athletes with the resources that can help them when they need them. We work on recognizing the signs of mental crisis and helping our peers recognize them. We want to break the stigma surrounding mental health in athletics. Any athlete is welcome to join us.

Breaking the Stigma
As a Marquette community, both SHAPE and individual athletes have taken a brave step forward by sharing their stories and struggles with mental illness. Our goal is to work together to break the stigma against mental illness and show that no one is alone in their journey.Check out some of our athletes sharing their stories about mental health.
