‘Blue & Gold’ Student-Athlete: Ariana Amaro

Marquette University women's swimming student-athlete Ariana Amaro is the Blue & Gold Student Athlete of the Month for September, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academic & Programs Staff.

Amaro is a student in the College of Engineering, majoring in Bioelectronics. In high school (Portage Central in Portage, Mich.), she earned the school's Math Department Award and was recognized by College Board (AP testing organization) nationally for her Math score. She competed in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) as a two-time state qualifier. She has also volunteered at the local YWCA, teaching swim lessons to young students speaking both English and Spanish.
