Baird 'Blue & Gold' Student-Athlete: Madison Burrier

Burrier is the VP of service on Marquette's SAAC Leadership Board
MILWAUKEE - Women's soccer player Madison Burrier is the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for August 2021, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Burrier is a journalism major and digital media minor in the College of Communications. She has earned Dean's List honors and BIG EAST Conference All-Academic recognition every semester at Marquette. Burrier is the current Vice President of Service on the Marquette SAAC board, focusing on opportunities for student-athletes to lead in the community.
She was a 2021 participant in the NCAA Career in Sports forum, selected as one of 300 collegiate athletes included in the event. Burrier has worked as an intern in the Marquette Athletics Communications Department, contributing content on social media platforms, editing videos, and marketing the Golden Eagle teams. In Spring 2021, Burrier facilitated the Career Networking workshops for student-athletes, where participants had opportunities to meet with athletics alumni in their fields of interest.
The Dublin, Ohio native started all 10 matches during the spring of 2021 in the midfield and played every minute in eight of those contests. In 41 career matches, Burrier has made 32 starts and contributed a pair of assists in 2,999 minutes.
