Baird 'Blue & Gold' Student-Athlete of the Month: Jefferson Osunkwo

The junior track & field athlete is the September student-athlete of the month
MILWAUKEE - Junior men's track & field student-athlete Jefferson Osunkwo is the Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for September 2020, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Osunkwo is a computer science major in the College of Arts & Sciences and Vice President of the Marquette University African Student Organization. He represents men's track & field on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He is a MAGIS Mentor, paired with a new freshman student-athlete in the same major to give guidance and advice about adjusting to the academic rigors of the major while practicing and competing in collegiate athletics.
Osunkwo has been a valuable leader and participant in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion programming both through SAAC with his peers across all sports at Marquette, and also through the BIG EAST Conference.
He competes as a horizontal jumper with the men's track & field team.
