MILWAUKEE - Senior women's lacrosse goalie Julianna Horning is the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for April 2021, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Horning, a senior goalkeeper, is an engineering student majoring in biomechanics and minoring in business administration. She will enter the College of Business' Graduate School of Management in the fall and has earned Dean's List, and BIG EAST Honor Roll and Athletics Director's Honor Roll recognition every semester. She is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the National Honor Society for College Athletes.
In addition, Jules has been a member of the MAGIS Mentor program since it's inception – first as a mentee, and then as a peer mentor for the last four years, providing guidance and support to incoming student-athletes in her same major, helping them balance academic demands with athletics commitments.
