
Baird 'Blue & Gold' Student-Athlete of the Month: Zach Granger

Granger leads the 'Ready Squad' supporting injured athletes
MILWAUKEE - Redshirt sophomore men's lacrosse player Zach Granger is the Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for the Month of May, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Granger is a peer leader in Marquette's SHAPE organization and has participated in mental health and wellness workshops on empathy, active listening and leading difficult discussions. He serves as the liaison with Marquette Sports Medicine to coordinate peer outreach to any injured MU student-athlete and leads the Ready Squad, supporting injured athletes.
In the community he has served in a number of volunteer roles through events like Al's Run and Walk for Children's Hospital as well as a coach with the Milwaukee Eagles, a wheelchair lacrosse team working with the Zablocki VA Hospital.
