
Patrick Bruch is the Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of December

The junior distance runner will travel to Panama over winter break on a service trip
MILWAUKEE - Junior men's distance runner Patrick Bruch is the Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for the Month of December, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Over summer break, the biomedical sciences major volunteered at MUSCLES Camp for kids with autism interested in track and field, volunteered at Auora Sinai's Emergency Room, and had an internship at ABB. This year he is studying for the MCAT and beginning the application process for medical schools, in addition to balancing school and training and competition. Over the winter break, he will be traveling with Marquette's College of Health Sciences Global Brigades team, providing medical care in Panama.
Bruch placed eighth in the 2019 BIG EAST Outdoor Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
