'Blue & Gold' Student-Athlete: Holden Patterson

Patterson has been an active member of the MU community over his five-year career
MILWAUKEE - Men's lacrosse attackman Holden Patterson is the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for May 2023, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Patterson is graduate student on the men's lacrosse team and graduated last spring from the College of Business AIM (Applied Investment Management) program with a degree in finance. He is currently in the Graduate School of Management, pursuing his MBA. Patterson earned Dean's List, BIG EAST All-Academic honors and is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma honor society.
In addition to his academic achievements, Patterson leads Bible study within the faith-based group in Marquette Athletics; he leads in that space where faith and mission meet athletic talents, and helps other explore what servant-leadership means on their own paths. After taking a music course at Marquette and learning the history of the carillon, and that Marquette houses one of only about 170 traditional carillons in the country, he started a social and educational club. The Carillon Guild is now a student organization at Marquette, with its constitution drafted by Patterson. He has participated in MKELax at the Milwaukee Academy of Science, introducing elementary school students to the sport of lacrosse.
Patterson recently concluded his athletic career with 25 goals and seven assists over 52 career games. The native of Fairfax, Virginia is fourth in Marquette men's lacrosse history with 13 man-up goals in his career.
