'Blue & Gold' Student-Athlete: Mikki Easter

Easter is the first current student-athlete to be placed in a clinical field position with another team
MILWAUKEE - Women's soccer player Mikki Easter is the Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for October 2022, as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.
Easter majors in exercise physiology, in the athletic training program. Currently, she is placed with the women's basketball team athletic training staff in a field-work clinical position, giving her experiential learning within the Athletics family. Easter is the first current student-athlete to be placed in a field position with another team. Due to the COVID year of eligibility, she is enrolled in graduate-level courses while still competing herself.
Easter has earned Dean's List, AD Honor Roll and BIG EAST All-Academic honors every semester. She is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma (honor society for collegiate student athletes), and is involved with SHAPE (Student Health Allies & Peer Leaders), the peer-mental-health group focused on all aspects of wellness. She also serves as one of her team's SAAC representatives, and has been involved in LEAD, the leadership development program in Athletics.
On the pitch, Easter has started all but one match in which she has appeared and sported a 9-7-0 record in 2021 with five shutouts. She posted a 1.30 goals against average with 54 saves and a .730 save percentage last season and has played over 2,200 minutes in her career. Easter was honored as the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week on Oct. 4, 2021 after shutout wins over Seton Hall and Creighton.
