Bennett, Roeders to Partake in 2019 Steve Adlard Soccer Camps

MILWAUKEE – Marquette men's and women's soccer head coaches Louis Bennett and Markus Roeders will partake in this summer's Steve Adlard Soccer Camps from July 8-12 at FC Wisconsin's Complex in Germantown, Wisconsin.

Adlard, who coached the MU men's soccer team from 1992-2005, passed away in 2018. He held the 'Steve Adlard Premier Soccer Camp' in Wisconsin each summer since being hired in 1992 and continued the tradition until 2007, when moved to Idaho to take on a new position. He returned to the area in 2016 to coach FC Wisconsin, where he coached while in partial retirement.

The former MU head coach made enormous contributions to the sport of soccer and the Milwaukee community. In his honor, his son Andy, his wife Shelly, and numerous former players and coaches will take over the responsibilities of coordinating and running the camp.

Going into his 14^th year as the man in charge of Marquette men's soccer team, Bennett took the reigns of the Golden Eagles after the departure of Adlard in 2005. He and Adlard also coached against each other from 1996-2005 while Bennett was the head coach at Milwaukee.

Roeders, who's entering his 24^th year as the head coach of the MU women's soccer team in 2019, served as an assistant coach under Adlard at Marquette from 1992-95 on the men's team. Adlard was vital in the establishment of the women's soccer program at Marquette, guiding the recruiting process for its first class in 1993.

Camp Info:

Goalkeeper Camp - goalkeepers will have training from goalkeeping staff for the first part of their age group session and then will join in for the games.

College Prep Camp- High School Players
