Rosenthal Selected to USA Volleyball Pan Am Games Roster

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Marquette University volleyball alum Jenna Rosenthal was selected to the USA Volleyball Pan American Games roster, which marks her first major competition with Team USA.

Rosenthal, a 2018 graduate from Marquette, is one of three middle blockers chosen to the 12-member squad for the 2019 Pan American Games, which will be held in Lima, Peru August 7-11.

Team USA is ranked No. 3 in the world by FIVB and is reigning Pan American Games champion. The squad is grouped in Pool B with No. 4 Brazil, No. 11 Argentina and No. 13 Puerto Rico.

The U.S. opens round robin pool play on Aug. 7 against Argentina, followed by Puerto Rico on Aug. 8 and Brazil on Aug. 9. Semifinals and classification matches for places five through eight will be held on Aug. 10. Medal round matches are held Aug. 11.

Rosenthal is Marquette's record holder for blocks and is a three-time AVCA All-East Coast Region selection and earned first team All-BIG EAST honors on three occasions. The Fond du Lac, Wisconsin native spent three summers as a member of USA Volleyball's collegiate national team. Â She will wear No. 24 for Team USA.
