Ten of the 11 signees will join the Golden Eagles in the fall of 2021
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's lacrosse team has announced the signing of 11 newcomers, including 10 for the 2021-22 academic year.
"We are very excited to welcome these 11 student-athletes and their families to our program and the Marquette community," second-year head coach Andrew Stimmel said. "More impressive than their talent is the consistency of their character, competitiveness, and work ethic maintained throughout these unprecedented times. We believe their love for the game and the unique bond they've created will continue to build upon the legacy of all the players before them who have donned the Blue and Gold."
The group includes student-athletes from six different U.S. states and one Canadian province. Three players hail from New York and a pair each from Massachusetts and Maryland. Local attackman Nolan Rappis from Delafield, Wisconsin (Kettle Moraine High School) joins a growing number of Wisconsinites on the MU roster.
In all, the class includes two long pole players, one goalie and eight midfielders/attackmen.
Goalie Michael Allieri (Wellesley, Mass./Middlesex School) signed during the 2019 signing period and will join the Golden Eagles for the 2021 spring semester in January.
