Men's Track and Field Reveals 2020 Recruiting Class

Five freshmen and one graduate transfer are added to the fold
MILWAUKEE āĀ The Marquette University men's track and field team, under the direction of 14th-year head coachĀ Bert Rogers, has announced six new additions ahead of the 2020-21 season.
"We really improve our depth with this group of newcomers," Rogers said. "In cross county so many guys will be fighting for those top 10 spots. In addition, every event on the track will be well stocked with talent."Ā
This year's class of recruits showcases four recruits from Illinois and one each from California and Connecticut. Two jumpers and one multi-event competitor have been added to the fold whileĀ represented three distance athletes will also compete for head coach Sean Birren and the Marquette cross country squad this fall.
All newcomers are able to compete immediately and have four years of eligibility remaining for a squad that earned its fifth consecutive runner-up finish at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships in March.

Daniel Armstrong (high jump) and Vinnie Voudrie (weight throw) took home BIG EAST titles in their events while seven others on the men's team earned all-conference honors. Two of those All-BIG EAST award winners,Ā Imari Hurte (long jump) and Julian Wright (200),Ā were freshmen in the 2019 class.
