Marquette Athletics Programs Start Team Workouts:
- Multiple Marquette Athletics programs began fall team workouts last week, signifying the first organized team activities since the pandemic started.

Marquette Students Walk for Racial and Social Justice:
- Marquette students participated in a walk organized by the Marquette Student-Athlete Advisory Committee on Friday, Sept. 4.
- Listen to the message from some MU student-athletes who spoke at the march.

#MUBB in the NBA Playoffs:
- Three former Golden Eagles squared off in the NBA playoffs last week in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
- Jimmy Butler ('11) and Jae Crowder ('12) are both playing for the Miami Heat and Wes Matthews ('09) represented the Milwaukee Bucks, with the Heat taking the series 4-1.
- Crowder and Butler's Heat will now play the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, with the series tipping off Tuesday.

- Butler totaled 17 points and 10 rebounds in the final game last series, while Crowder added 16 points and six boards.

- In game 5, Matthews contributed 11 points in 29 minutes, while playing strong defense against Butler for a majority of the matchup.
#MUWBB in the WNBA:
- Natisha Hiedeman ('19) is playing for the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA's quarantined restart. The Sun locked up a playoff spot last week, with Hiedeman totaling eight points in 28 minutes that day.
- In the Sun's final two games of the regular season, the former BIG EAST Player of the Year contributed 13 and 16 points, which was a career high.

Latest Episode of Ring Out Ahoya Podcast Released:
- Hiedeman was featured in the most recent episode of the podcast, where she talked about her journey to the WNBA and how Marquette brought her to this point.
- "Every aspect of Marquette was great for me," Hiedeman said. "I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else. (Marquette) is the reason why I'm at where I am today."

Charlie Lyon (MSOC) Suits Up For FC Dallas:
- Former Marquette standout goalie Charlie Lyon has served an interesting role for the MLS this summer, being a "League Pool Goalkeeper." In the MLS, there is a set of pool keepers who are signed to contracts with the league and are loaned to teams during emergencies when they are without a goalie.
- Last week, Lyon was added to the FC Dallas roster for a few matches.
