Marquette SAAC Organizes March for Change:
- On Friday afternoon, Marquette students participated in a march from the Al McGuire Center to Valley Fields in unity against racism and for social justice.
- The event was organized by the Marquette Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and featured speeches by players across multiple different sports. Student-Athletes and coaches from each sport at MU were represented in addition to administration and university personnel.

Student-Athletes Taking Precautions After Returning to Campus:
- Women's basketball player Chloe Marotta ('22) showed some of the precautions that MU student-athletes are engaging in since their return to campus, including wearing masks, social distancing and cleaning surfaces after use.

- Marquette SAAC president and MLAX player Jordan Schmid emphasized the importance of following protocols for a safe return this fall.

#MUBB in the NBA Playoffs:
- Three former Golden Eagles are squaring off in the NBA playoffs this week in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
- Jimmy Butler ('11) and Jae Crowder ('12) are both playing for the Miami Heat, while Wes Matthews ('09) is representing the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat currently lead the series against Milwaukee three games to one. Tune in for Game 5 at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow night on TNT.

- Butler had a huge first game, totaling a playoff career-high of 40 points in the matchup, converted the game-winning free throws in game two, and finished game three with 30 points.
- Crowder added nine points and nine rebounds in the first game, then put up 16, 17 and 18 in the next three contests, while also drawing frequent matchups against reigning league MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo on the defensive end.

#MUWBB in the Professional Leagues:
- Natisha Hiedeman ('19) is playing for the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA's quarantined restart. The former BIG EAST Player of the Year scored double digits for the second time in her professional career last week.

- Four recent #muwbb graduates have signed contracts to play professional basketball overseas.
- Allazia Blockton ('19), the leading scorer in Marquette basketball history, signed with GiroLive Panthers Osnabruck SC of Germany.

- Erika Davenport ('19), a three-time All-BIG EAST Second Team member, signed with the Norrkoping Dolphins in Sweden.

- Altia Anderson ('20), who led the 2019-20 Golden Eagles in blocks and rebounds, will also be playing in Europe, having inked a contract with S.L. Benfica in Portugal.
- Isabelle Spingola ('20), who was one of the most prolific three-point shooters in MU history, signed a contract with BBC Troistorrents in Switzerland.

Luka Prpa (MSOC) Scores First Goal:
- A four-time All-BIG EAST selection, men's soccer alum Luka Prpa ('20) scored a goal for Rio Grande Valley FC in a 2-1 defeat the other night, a tally which was called the goal of the match.

Men's Soccer Names Sean Hughes Associate Head Coach:
- The men's soccer program elevated Sean Hughes to associate head coach last week after four seasons as an assistant with the team.
- "It's an honor to have a coach like Sean on our staff and he is much deserving of this promotion to associate head coach," head coach Louis Bennett said. "He leads our recruiting efforts and he makes our program better every single day with the work he does with our student-athletes."

Men's Lacrosse Head Coach Andrew Stimmel Discusses Spring Challenges:
- MLAX head coach Andrew Stimmel recently looked back on his first season at the helm for the squad.
- "I've been incredibly impressed by how many guys played new roles and how quickly they stepped up and stepped into them, from our freshmen to our seniors," Stimmel said. "They did an incredible job of embracing that and having the mentality whether we won, whether we lost, our mentality is trying to get better every day."
