Marquette WBB to play in seven nationally televised games
NEW YORK — The BIG EAST Conference announced its women's basketball schedule and television lineup for the 2021-22 season Friday morning, a slate which includes seven national broadcasts for the Marquette women's basketball team.
The league schedule features a double round-robin format, in which each team will face every opponent at home and on the road. The Golden Eagles will open league play in early December with a pair of home contests against Xavier and Butler on Friday, Dec. 3, and Sunday, Dec. 5, respectively.
Marquette's schedule is highlighted by a game against UConn, which will be broadcast on FOX at 1:30 p.m. CST, on Sunday, Feb. 13. MU's home contest against Creighton (Feb. 6), as well as road tilts against Seton Hall (Dec. 19) and Villanova (Feb. 11) will air on FS1, while its road game against Georgetown (Feb. 18) will be broadcast on FS2.
In addition to the games carried by FOX, the Golden Eagles will appear on CBS Sports Network on Sunday, Jan. 16, when they take on Villanova at the Al McGuire Center. The team's road meeting with UConn (Dec. 29) will broadcast on SNY.
All games which are not nationally televised can be seen on the BIG EAST Digital Network (BEDN).
For the ninth-consecutive year, FS1 and FS2 will provide coverage of the BIG EAST Women's Basketball Tournament, with this season's event returning to Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, for the second-consecutive year. The tournament will begin on Saturday, March 5, and conclude with its championship game on Monday, March 7 at 7 p.m.
