Wolf named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

Wolf hit .438 and averaged 3.57 kills per set in a 1-1 week
NEW YORK - Marquette University women's volleyball player Taylor Wolf was named the BIG EAST Conference Offensive Player of the Week for women's volleyball for the third time this season, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Wolf posted 25 kills (3.57 per set), hit .438 and recorded a team-high 27 digs (3.86/set) in a 1-1 week for the Golden Eagles (14-3, 5-1 BIG EAST). She also added 39 assists (5.57/set) as Marquette hit a combined .298 in matches at Providence and No. 19 Creighton. Wolf hit .476 with 12 kills, 16 assists, six digs and a pair of blocks in Friday's sweep of the Friars. She added 13 kills, 23 assist, 21 digs and hit .411 in Sunday's match against the Bluejays.
The honor is the third offensive player of the week accolade for Wolf, who also earned the recognition on Aug. 30 for her play in the Rainbow Wahine Classic and on Sept. 27 for her role in BIG EAST opening wins at Villanova and Georgetown.
The Golden Eagles resume action on Friday, Oct. 15 against St. John's as they begin a stretch of five of six matches at the Al McGuire Center.
