
Rennie selected to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Savannah Rennie hit .390 and averaged 3.33 kills in a 2-0 week
NEW YORK - For the fourth time this season, Marquette University women's volleyball player Savannah Rennie was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for women's volleyball, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Rennie led the Golden Eagles to a 2-0 week with wins over DePaul and UConn. The graduate student paced Marquette with 3.33 kills, 0.56 aces and 4.33 points per set while hitting .390. Rennie's 19 kills and seven digs against DePaul are each a career-best in a Marquette uniform and she added three service aces and three blocks. In Saturday's win at UConn, she posted 11 kills while hitting .444 with two service aces and three blocks in the 3-1 win.
The native of San Diego, California leads the Golden Eagles in hitting percentage (.348) and blocks (1.15 per set) and ranks second and fifth, respectively, in the BIG EAST in both.
Marquette continues conference action on Friday, Oct. 29 in a clash of the league's top-two teams as No. 24 Creighton comes to town. MU also hosts Providence on Saturday before beginning a four-match road swing.
