
Werch selected to BIG EAST Honor Roll

Werch currently leads Marquette in kills per set and is MU's all-time ace leader
NEW YORK - Marquette University graduate student Hope Werch was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for women's volleyball, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Werch led the Golden Eagles to a 2-0 weekend with wins at St. John's and Seton Hall. She posted a team-high 31 kills (3.44 per set) and nine service aces (1.00/set) while also contributing 22 digs (2.44) and a pair of blocks.
Marquette's all-time leader in aces notched four against the Pirates and five versus the Red Storm, while leading MU in kills in each match with 14 and 17, respectively. She hit .284 for the week and had her fourth double-double of the year against SHU with 13 digs. Werch now leads MU's offense this season in kills per set with 2.94 per frame.
Marquette continues its four-match road swing on Nov. 13-14 at Xavier and Butler before returning home on Nov. 19-20 for Alumnae Weekend and Senior Night.
