Money raised to support student-athlete scholarships
The 30th annual Blue & Gold Fund Auction took place Friday, Dec. 10 in the Alumni Memorial Union. An impressive total of over $475,000 in new gifts was generously donated to support student-athlete scholarships.
The spirit of philanthropy was evident and far-reaching at this year's auction and is part of a legacy that will leave a lasting impact on Marquette student-athletes for years to come.
"On behalf of Marquette Athletics and our student-athletes, I want to express my sincere gratitude for everyone who has supported the 30th Annual Blue & Gold Fund Auction. The ongoing generosity of our donors to the Blue & Gold Scholarship allows our Marquette student-athletes to dream big and continue the tradition of excellence in competition, in the classroom and in the community. Thank you. "Â -Bill Scholl, Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics
The night was highlighted by emcee Sophia Minnaert as well as live auctioneer and co-host Steve "The Homer" True and senior women's soccer player Madison Burrier. It truly was an evening to remember as President Lovell highlighted the impact of the student-athlete support for him and his family and Director of Athletics Bill Scholl gave an overview of ongoing success. Junior Devon Cowan, men's lacrosse, offered a reflection that captured the outpouring gratitude the student-athletes have for the Marquette community.
Items like a Bucks suite package, a Las Vegas golf experience, a trip to Tortola British Virgin Islands and a trip with the Marquette Men's Basketball program to the Gavitt Games in 2022 provided great excitement for the live auction. The evening was capped by the climactic Fund-A-Need effort, highlighting generosity throughout the room with paddles raised from the $100,000 to $100 levels.

If you were unable to attend the auction and would still like to join in the annual Blue & Gold Fund Holiday Assist initiative for the month of December, you can do so here.
