Team and individuals recognized in 2020-21
The Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams have both been honored for their academic success by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Both programs were named 2021 NCAA Division I Track & Field USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams.
Ā
TheĀ cumulativeĀ GPA (not 2020-21 academic year, not semester) for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAAĀ Squad ListĀ for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, certifiable by either NCAA Faculty Rep or NCAA Compliance Coordinator or Registrar's Office.

Individually, Samuel Johnson and Joe Keys from the men's team and Kate Jochims and Lindsey Mirkes were all named 2021 NCAA Division I Track & Field USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes for their respective success in the classroom.

To be honored, student-athletes must have a minimumĀ cumulativeĀ grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, certifiable by either NCAA Faculty Rep or NCAA Compliance Coordinator or Registrar's Office.Ā

Keys, who owns a 3.66 PGA in mechanical engineering and was a NCAA and USTFCCCA Second Team All-America selection in the decathlon, was named the school's BIG EAST Institutional Male Scholar Athlete Award winner last week by the league office as well.

Emma Moravec was tabbed Marquette's BIG EAST Institutional Female Scholar Athlete Award winner. She owns the program's school record in the 800 meters and is third all-time at the 600-meter distance.Ā Moravec owns a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average and graduated in May with a degree in bioelectronic engineering.
