Sophomore forward set several career highs in pair of wins to earn weekly honors
NEW YORK — Marquette women's basketball sophomore forward Liza Karlen has been named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending Jan. 23, for her performance in helping the Golden Eagles to a pair of dominant road wins. On the week, Karlen averaged 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.5 blocks per contest. She recorded career-highs of eight assists and four blocks against Xavier on Friday, while going for a career-high 19 points against Butler on Sunday. Additionally, she shot an efficient 52.0 percent (13-of-25) from the field on the week.Â
This is the second Weekly Honor Roll appearance of Karlen's career, and her first of the season. She becomes the fourth Golden Eagle to be honored by the league this season.

Morrow led the BIG EAST in scoring and rebounding last week, totaling 32.5 points and 15.0 rebounds in road wins over Butler and Xavier. The rookie posted the second-best shooting percentage in the conference last week, making 73.7-percent of her attempts, while adding 3.5 steals and 2.5 blocks per contest.
